England win for West Cumbria rugby league pair
Last updated at 20:48, Thursday, 28 April 2011
Two prodigies from Ellenborough amateur rugby league club have been enjoying international glory.
Bradley Lawrence and Kyle Dempsey both played for England U16s in their 24-18 victory over Wales at Caerphilly.
Both played for the whole of the first half and were substituted at half-time but then Dempsey had to come on again as an injury replacement.
As always Lawrence was strong in defence and made one certain try-saving tackle while Dempsey gave a powerful performance.
The two Ellenborough lads are members of the scholarship scheme with Super League side Wigan.
They begin their scholarship season - which is for U15 players - tomorrow at Wigan with a home fixture against South Wales Crusaders.
