The wedding of Emma Eastoe and Justin Elliott

HOW THEY MET: While working together at Rheged in 2006. Justin was working in the catering department and Emma worked in the marketing department.

PROPOSAL: There was no big proposal – during a journey to Manchester in October 2007 the couple were talking about the future and felt that marriage was what they both wanted to confirm their love and commitment to each other.

VENUE: Plumpton Church, near Penrith.

THEME: Gold and red.

BRIDE’S OUTFIT: A vintage spun gold empire-line gown with antique appliqué highlighted with delicate crystals, from The Wedding Barn, near Appleby.

GROOMSMEN: The groom’s uncle Kenny Elliott and the groom’s younger brother Lee Elliott were best men.

The groom’s friends Lloyd Bucknall, Simon Hawkins, Alastair Petre and Dave Wilby were ushers.

They wore black herringbone frockcoats with co-ordinating waistcoats, ruched ties and handkerchiefs, from Edwards Designer Menswear, Penrith.

BRIDESMAIDS: The groom’s auntie Louise Elliott was chief bridesmaid and the bride’s friends Hayley Ruby and Katie Airey were bridesmaids.

They wore soft cranberry chiffon dresses with sweep and crystal detailing from The Wedding Barn, Appleby.

FLOWERS: The bride carried a bouquet of grand prix red roses supplied by her close friend Annette Howe, Keswick.

TRANSPORT: Two vintage Rolls Royce supplied by Cars of Distinction, Langwathby.

RECEPTION: The Roundthorn Country House, Penrith for 68 guests during the day and a further 24 at the evening reception.

TABLE SETTINGS: A large pillar candle surrounded by grand prix and vandella roses to complement the bridal bouquets, supplied by Annette Howe, Keswick.

FAVOURS: Penrith Toffee Shop Fudge.

CAKE: A four-tier cake of fruit, plain sponge, chocolate and lemon, supplied by Eden House of Cakes, Penrith.

FIRST DANCE: Don’t Stop Believin’, Journey.

ENTERTAINMENT: Disco by Kurt North, a friend of the bride and groom and a white chocolate fountain supplied by the Lakeland Chocolate Fountain Co, Manchester.

HONEYMOON: Sharm el Sheikh, Egypt.
