Cumbrian man on sex crime charges

A man is due in court today charged with carrying out a string of alleged sex crimes over a number of years.
Christopher Neal Holmes, 46, of The Grange, Whitehaven, faces seven counts of rape, four charges of indecent assault and two of gross indecency.
They are alleged to have happened between 1998 and this year.
Holmes was due to appear before West Cumbria magistrates court in Workington today.
