A 21-year-old man has appeared in court following an alleged firearm incident at the Chattanooga takeaway on Egremont Main Street.
Ryan Dixon, of Main Street, Frizington, is accused of possession of an air weapon with intent last Thursday, causing Mehdi Samadi to believe unlawful violence would be used against him. He is further accused of being in possession of an air weapon when he was banned from doing so for five years.
Other charges against Dixon include an assault on Fiona Flynn; a racially-aggravated common assault on Mehdi Samadi; theft of a £500 mobile phone from Shun Cheung Tang; and causing £700 of damage to a car belonging to his father, Steven Dixon.
Dixon, who appeared before magistrates in Workington yesterday where he was remanded in custody, is to appear at crown court in September. He has not entered any pleas.
