I attended parkview before it turned to the academy, and to be personally honest i was disgraced by the attitude some of the faculty had towards their students, i was always promised a good result in my GCSE's and failed those i required, I had a quite obvious passion for electronics, and during year 9 course selections, was placed into food technology??!! i attended furness college a year later and achieved great results, i was a set 3 student in mathematics when i joined parkview in 1999, and was instantly knocked down to set 6 the following year, parkview never gave me the oportunity to prove myself in a higher set, and what was worse parkview decded to completely restructure form and regstration classes so a mixture of every year was in every form, completely distressing those GCSE students of 2005 who were split up between their closest friends and potentally rupturing any chance of revision between those.

well.... i got mu GCSE results back on the 24th of august... they were not as good as i expected, we were PROMISED good results when our school was changed into the academy. All that Mr blackledge seemed to care about was the pupils apperance and getting good publicity. i am very disapointed in the way we were let down by mr blackledge. Most people disagreed with the Academy and now alot of people still think that it was a bad idea. SO THANKS MR BLACKLEDGE FOR WRECKING MY FUTURE...i now have too do extra courses at college to get the grades that i need
