AN impressive showcase of artwork by local students is going on display at Lowes Court Gallery.
The annual Copeland Schools exhibition this year features art work from West Lakes Academy, Mayfield School, Bookwell School and St Bridget’s School.
There will be everything from paintings, drawings, sculpture and textiles to fine art and photography.
Cherie Illingworth, acting head of art at West Lakes Academy, said the standard of work is excellent.
“Some of our pupils have got interviews in London, they usually take it on to degree level.”
The exhibition runs at the Egremont gallery from Saturday, March 6 to April 20.
