CAROLINE Jones, 27, a hairdresser, and Johnny Wharton, 28, a vehicle technician, live in Carlisle.
HOW THEY MET: While they were away clubbing on a Club Culture bus, eight years ago.
PROPOSAL: Johnny proposed the day before their seven-year anniversary after Caroline had cooked a Sunday roast dinner.
VENUE: Holy Trinity and St Constantine Church, Wetheral on September 8, 2007.
BRIDE’S OUTFIT: An ivory strapless Suzanne Neville dress from Mia Bridal, Carlisle.
GROOMSMEN: Mark Hodgson was best man. The groom’s cousin James Simpson was an usher. The groom’s nephew, 18-month-old Benjamin Penny, was a page boy. The groom wore a Paul Smith suit from Cruise in Newcastle.
BRIDESMAIDS: Karen Browning was chief bridesmaid. The bride’s sisters Sarah and Becky Jones were bridesmaids. They wore eggplant colour dresses from Capricorn, Carlisle. Ellie and Hollie Hodgson were flowergirls and wore ivory dresses from BHS.
FLOWERS: A hand-tied bouquet of burgundy calla lilies with ivory lilies for the bridesmaids from the Baytree, Denton Holme. The bride’s grandma arranged the flowers in the church and in Fantails restaurant.
TRANSPORT: A white Cadillac borrowed from a friend and a Jaguar XJ borrowed from Lloyd Jaguar.
RECEPTION: Pimms served by the River Eden in Wetheral, followed by drinks and canapes in a marquee at a house belonging to friends Evelyn and Tony Goddard. Champagne in the garden at Fantails restaurant was followed by a three-course meal for 70 guests with a further 20 in the evening for a hot buffet.
TABLE SETTINGS: Scattered rose petals with flower arrangement and a candle in the middle.
FAVOURS: Champagne truffles and wine charms for the ladies.
CAKE: Individual fairy cakes made by the bride’s mum Jane Jones.
FIRST DANCE: All I Need by Air.
ENTERTAINMENT: DJ-starlight disco.
HONEYMOON: Maldives.
