THE University of Cumbria has launched its new 2009 undergraduate prospectus and is now available to prospective students across the country, kick-starting the University’s recruitment for September 2009.
The latest prospectus takes into account the views of prospective students and the type of information they want to see within the publication.
One of the most influential aspects of the student recruitment drive is the university prospectus, as it is often the first glimpse undergraduates will have of their chosen university. The vibrant design and clear layout is eye-catching and will make people want to pick it up. It will guide students through what the institution has to offer including an expanding portfolio. New courses include BSc Logistics and Supply Chain Management, BSc Health Physics and BA Early Childhood Studies.
The front cover image of the 2009 prospectus features two current University of Cumbria students. Alex Halfpenny, facing away from the camera, is in the first year of the FdA Graphic Design course at the Brampton Road Campus, Carlisle.
Alex says: “I am really enjoying my time at the University of Cumbria and would recommend it to anyone. I have studied at other institutions but I am so lucky to have found a university that invests so much into its students. We have the best facilities to do our course and the most supportive tutors I have ever met.”
Professor Christopher Carr, University of Cumbria Vice-Chancellor said: “Our second prospectus is another milestone for the new university as we grow and develop as an institution.
“New courses in areas like Logistics and Supply Chain Management mark our intent to provide qualifications that respond to the needs of the region as well as establish a national reputation for innovation and quality.”
Outreach staff will be armed with prospectuses looking forward to spreading the word at recruitment fairs and schools throughout the UK and further afield.
