AN AWARD-WINNING country house hotel near Keswick has been sold, through Knight Frank’s hotels team, for its guide price of £1.1 million.
The recently refurbished Swinside Lodge Hotel, in the Newlands Valley, is an eight-bedroom Georgian hotel.
Planning permission has been granted to convert garages, stables and dog kennels at the site into a two-bedroom house for use by the hotel.
Swinside Lodge recently won the Cumbrian Tourism Small Hotel of the Year award.
Mark Bailey, of Knight Frank, said: “The hotel delivers a strong turnover and profit and is now recognised as one of the premier small hotels in the Lake District.”
