DONNA Evans, 29, and plumber Mark Devoy, 34, live in Cockermouth.
HOW THEY MET: In a Whitehaven nightclub on November 22, 2002.
PROPOSAL: At a New Year’s Eve party in 2003.
VENUE: Hunday Manor Hotel, Workington on June 14.
BRIDE’S OUTFIT: An ivory fishtail dress with a gold tiara and an ivory veil from Champagne Brides, of Workington.
GROOMSMEN: James Clucas, 34, and the groom’s son Dylan Draper, nine,were best men. The groom’s brother Jonathan Devoy, 29, the bride’s brother Sam Slinger, 14, the bride’s uncle Gary Evans, 49, the bride’s step-father Chris Slinger, and the groom’s step-father Hartley Timmins, both 57, were ushers. The bride’s grandad John Evans, 74, gave Donna away. They wore grey herringbone suits with silver waistcoats and Orchid cravats from Well Suited.
BRIDESMAIDS: Suzanne Lofthouse, 29, was chief bridesmaid. Jo Askew, 29, Abbie Lofthouse, Katie Askew, Ruby Muncaster and the bride’s sister Carla Slinger, 11, were bridesmaids. They wore Orchid dresses from Champagne Brides.
FLOWERS: A teardrop bouquet of white calla lilies and lilac roses. The bridesmaids had similar posies with silver beads all from Cottage Garden, Cockermouth.
TRANSPORT: White limousines from First Class Limousines in Penrith and West Coast Limos.
RECEPTION: A roast beef dinner for 150 guests at Hunday Manor Hotel followed by a cold buffet in the evening.
TABLE SETTINGS: Candles, silver and balloons.
FAVOURS: White boxes filled with sweets and mints and Kinder eggs for the children.
CAKE: A three-tier, chocolate, heart-shaped sponge cake.
FIRST DANCE: Yanou’s Candlelight mix of Cascada’s Everytime We Touch .
ENTERTAINMENT: Mike’s Disco and karaoke.
HONEYMOON: Thailand.
