PR guru granted a fellowship

Recognition: Tony Brunskill has had a successful career in PR

A CUMBRIAN PR guru has been handed a fellowship by the Chartered Institute of Public Relations after 30 years in the trade.

Tony Brunskill, managing director of Lowther-based 4Square, was given the honour at a ceremony in London.

Mr Brunskill, originally from Great Salkeld, launched the firm in Penrith 22 years ago after a stint as a PR manager for an airline that later became flyBe. 4Square has helped launched major Cumbria projects including the Rheged centre at Penrith.

Mr Brunskill has also been tutor at Macclesfield College for seven years, a course he hopes to bring to the new University of Cumbria.

He said: “It is a great honour. It has been the hard work of my staff and students over the years who should share this recognition.”
